The Blanford’s fox (Vulpes cana) is a diminutive species native to Palestine and across the arid, mountainous regions of the Middle East, extending through Egypt and eastwards to Afghanistan. These foxes are primarily frugivorous, eating a range of casperbush fruits, olives, melons and grapes, as well as some insects. This species is known for their proficiency in ascending vertical, crumbling cliffs by a series of jumps between the vertical sections, granting them impressive manoeuvrability throughout the more inaccessible parts of their habitat.
