Wolf Working Group
The group connects wolf experts across major geographic regions to coordinate conservation planning, exchange research and experience, and support cooperation on transboundary wolf management. Its work addresses coexistence, livestock conflict, population-level management and knowledge gaps across Europe, Asia and North America.

Objectives
Promote population-level and transboundary wolf management rather than management solely by administrative boundaries.
Advance coexistence approaches and research on the social and economic dimensions of wolf-livestock conflict.
Support scientifically rigorous recovery and management planning for threatened wolf populations.
Expand research on status, phylogeny, genetics, ecology and behaviour in understudied Asian and North African populations.
Encourage legal protection, compensation, habitat protection and population monitoring where wolves remain highly threatened.
